The story follows Alice and her father, a respected apothecary always searching for the next breakthrough in medicine and cures. His obsession eventually led him to experiment on his own daughter, changing her in ways he never intended.

Fearing what she had become, he locked Alice away in the cellars beneath The Tudor. But before long, screams began to echo from below as Alice started carrying out her own twisted versions of the experiments once performed on her.

No. Lesley Smith will feature in an exclusive pre-recorded appearance created especially for the event, exploring witchcraft in the Jacobean era, period medicines and cures, as well as introducing the story behind The Witch Beneath The Tudor.

The experience is recommended for ages 16 and over and is suitable for those who enjoy immersive theatre, Halloween attractions and a good scare. It includes dark confined spaces, live actors, sudden scares and strong themes.

Please be aware that the experience involves several steep staircases and uneven areas within our historic building and cellars, so it will not be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

Yes. If tickets are still available, you can book on the night. However, all tickets must be purchased through our website before entering the experience.

Our previous Halloween event sold out, so we strongly recommend booking in advance as we cannot guarantee that tickets or your preferred time slot will still be available on the night.

Your ticket includes entry to The Witch Beneath The Tudor immersive experience, along with the Halloween entertainment taking place throughout The Tudor and Tudor Row, including live entertainment and spooky photo opportunities.

Medium readings are available separately at an additional cost and can be booked on the night, subject to availability. These will be short three-card readings lasting approximately 10 minutes.

Food will be available throughout the evening, including pizzas, burgers, hot dogs and fries. Add food to your ticket in advance for a special pre-event price. Food will also be available to purchase separately on the night at standard event prices.

Our bar will be open throughout the event, serving a range of alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and other refreshments.

You’re welcome to arrive at The Tudor at any time during the evening to enjoy the food drinks and entertainment.

Please make sure you are at the designated meeting point 10 to 15 minutes before your booked experience time. The meeting point will be clearly explained when you arrive.

Experiences run to a strict schedule so unfortunately late arrivals may not be able to join their booked time slot.

The experience lasts up to approximately 30 minutes and is split into three different parts, each revealing more of the story as you progress.

Exactly how long it takes may depend on how brave you are once you reach the cellars…

There are a number of short and long stay car parks within easy walking distance of The Tudor. These include Lombard, Redcourt Car Park and The Friary Car Park.

If you’re unable to attend, please contact us at least 7 days before the event. We’ll make your tickets available for resale for the same date and time slot.

If we’re able to resell your tickets, we’ll issue you a refund. If the tickets cannot be resold, unfortunately we won’t be able to provide a refund.

Tickets are otherwise non-refundable and non-transferable.
